This 80.65 acres of wetlands sits near the intersection of Highway 57 and Highway 90 in the Ocean Springs. The site is natural un-impacted wet pine flat woods wetlands with cypress species. The area was once part of an extensive pine savanna in which pitcher plants were once common and extensive. LTMCP plans to use prescribed burns to restore this pine savanna to a healthy state. A conservation easement on this property was donated to the Land Trust for the Mississippi Coastal Plain by the City of Ocean Springs to assure this protected property would remain forever in a natural state and that the scenic and natural character of the property would be forever maintained.
